Grady Health System's Nurse of the Year

Grady celebrated its 1,700 nurses recently as part of National Nurses Week. The coveted Nurse of the Year award was given to Jacqueline Kennel, an RN on 5A.

It is an honor to be named the 2007 Nurse of the Year for Grady Health System,” Kennel said. “I just want to say all nurses within Grady are nurses of the year, and I especially thank all the staff on 5A for being a wonderful team to work and grow with.

Kennel was chosen as Nurse of the Year by her peers. As the winner, she received roses, a crystal award, gift certificates to Spa Sydell and Buckhead Life Group restaurants, a round-trip airline ticket to fly anywhere in the United States, along with a limo ride to and from the airport, an exclusive parking spot for a year in the Butler parking deck and a personalized lab coat.

As the winner Sudlow received roses, a crystal award, a gift certificate to Spa Sydell, a round-trip airline ticket and a free parking spot for a year on the Grady Health System campus.
